How to View Your Electronic Claim Status

Electronic Claims Status

Once Client Sessions are invoiced, they will be listed in the Balances Due You report by payer.

To access the Balances Due You report, either click on the quick link to the Balances Due You report on the home page of your account or under Daily Activity:

In the Balances Due You report, each of the electronic claims will have an electronic status icon next to it.

The first (1) electronic status icons are:

  • Blue icon - this means the claim is either leaving My Clients Plus or being processed by the clearinghouse.
  • Green icon - this means the claim has been accepted by the clearinghouse.
  • Red icon - this means the claim has been rejected either by the clearinghouse or the payer.

The second (2) electronic status icon allows you to see more information when you click on it.  Clicking on the second green icon pops up a box that will show you the series of messages if available.

We recommend checking this screen regularly when you electronically bill to verify that you do not have any rejected claims.  If you have any rejected claims, you must follow up and resubmit the claim with any necessary corrections if applicable.

If a claim is rejected that was submitted electronically AND: It was rejected for something in one of the Setup Screens (Practice, Client, Insurance) or in the Client Session, you can make the change on the appropriate screen, click save and then go to the Balances Due You report, click on the electronic billing icon (1) and re-submit the claim with corrected information. It will not create a new PDF file in the Balances Due You report, but it will re-submit with the new information. You can review the resubmitted form in Account Activity by Client.
